Men’s Spider Veins, Rosacea, and Melasma Lexington KY

Improve the Appearance of Your Spider Veins, Rosacea, and Melasma and Rejuvenate Your Skin

Even minor skin imperfections can drain our confidence and make us feel helpless. Though changes in appearance are inevitable, they don’t have to be accepted. Your friends may not mention the spider veins around your nose, the extra redness from rosacea, or the brown patches along your hair line, but you still notice them. You hold yourself to a high standard, thus you are your toughest critic. At Be Medispa, we’re here to minimize the appearance of even minor skin imperfections.

  • Spider Veins:  Spider veins are twisted purple, red, and blue vessels that appear close to the surface of the skin and are typically visible on the face and legs. Though generally harmless, many find them unsightly. They are brought on by age, hormones, and lifestyle, so a large portion of the population shares this cosmetic concern
  • Rosacea:  Rosacea is a chronic and potentially rosacealife-disruptive skin disorder. Persistent facial redness is the most common symptom of rosacea, but redness may also occur on the neck, chest, scalp, or  ears. Other signs of rosacea include frequent blushing or flushing, small red bumps or pimples, and visible blood vessels. Though there is no cure, rosacea can be controlled and its signs and symptoms can be reversed.
  • Melasma:  Melasma is a condition characterized by dark patches of skin on the forehead, bridge of the nose, upper lip, cheeks, and chin. Melasma generally appears on people with darker skin tones and is usually more noticeable in the summer months. Many factors can trigger this condition, such as hormone changes, sun exposure, skin care products, and certain medications.

At Be Medispa, we treat spider veins and rosacea with our intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment. Our IPL treatment uses a broad-spectrum light that destroys capillaries that contribute to the appearance of spider veins and rosacea. Once the capillaries are destroyed, they are reabsorbed by the body and disappear, improving and fading their appearance. In addition, the IPL treatment stimulates new collagen production, which delays the development of future spider veins and rosacea.

To treat melasma, Be Medispa offers our VI Peel, which is a gentle yet powerful chemical peel that requires minimal downtime. The VIPeel is a blend of acids, vitamins, and other minerals that work together to safely remove the damaged layers of the skin, promote cellular regeneration, and refine the skin’s surface layer for a smoother, clearer, and firmer appearance.
